Problems and Solutions

         I believe that students don't know their ESLS because we simply don't care about stuff like this. Nobody talks about the ESLRS in class all we talk about is the lesson for today. When kids are at school they think of five things; when is lunch, when do we get out, who did the homework, can i charge my phone, and what they are going to do after school. If we made the ESLRS fun for the students at Crenshaw everyone would be all over them. For example, if you went to elementary school you remember D.A.R.E. the lion that told us drugs are bad and not to do them because its not cool. For another example Smokey the Bear is a great example! He tells us to prevent forrest fires and you should take caution when camping. If we made the ESLRS fun for everybody by maybe having a mascot or putting up catchy phrases and fancy posters everyone would know and REMEMBER there ESLRS.

       To me the most efficient way to make students remember and be motivated by there ESLRS is to make things fun. Teens hate boring things. This is the point in our lives where we like to live and have fun so if you make something that we need to learn fun it will be way easier for us. I'm not saying throw a party or have a full day of fun for the ESLRS in just saying make it "appetizing". Maybe if the ESLRS had a catchy saying or a poster that related to us for each of the five ESLRS we would learn it quick fast and in a hurry. Why do you think kids these days learn song lyrics so fast? It's fun and pertains to us in a way we enjoy.

         Its very important for schools to write down the goals that they expect to achieve because if it everywhere around the school obviously something is going to click in saying "oh this must be important since I see it so much". If there was a fun/funny poster all around the school for all five ESLRS students would start to notice that it must be important. You will notice that students start remembering the ESLRS and what they stand for. If you just talked about it in class 9 times out of 10 nobody will be listening and it wont click in our brain.
